Strategic Engagement and Networking (SEN WG)

SUFC will create support structures that facilitate proactive networking, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices for topics of interest to its members. This networking facilitates information exchange, education, member collaborations, and peer endorsements. The Working Group will:

  • Identify specific topics of common interest and support proactive networking, communities of practice, and information exchange both in-person and virtually;
  • Pinpoint annual critical networking opportunities in the urban forestry community, and develop outreach resources for SUFC representatives;
  • Develop timely and appropriate communication tools and provide access to curated tools to highlight the value of urban and community forests and the programs that support these forests; and
  • Support Coalition-wide efforts to diversify our membership, which could include – but is not limited to – incentives to non-forestry-based organizations and young professionals, and mentorship for new private sector partnerships.
